Concerto Competition Update
The Judith Elser Concerto Competition finals were held in socially distanced fashion at the Gendron Franco Center on October 21. Violinist Anne McKee of Bowdoin College was the winner, performing a movement from the Brahms Violin Concerto. She will receive $1000 from the MSO, and will perform with us once it is safe to hold in-person concerts again.
Congratulations also to our runner up, pianist Mesa Schubeck of USM, and to our other finalists, pianist Josie DiPhilippo of USM and violinist Sofia Edgar of Bates College.
