Violin
I grew up in a family surrounded by music. It has always been a big part of my life -- whether performing or listening -- and has always been both an emotional and creative outlet for me.
I started piano lessons in 2nd grade, violin lessons in 3rd grade, clarinet in 6th grade and, flute during COVID. And I sang in choirs from kindergarten through college. I played in the Springfield (Ohio) Youth Symphony, school orchestras, band, and choir. After college I played in the Houston Civic Symphony and the church orchestra. In Houston, I also gave piano and violin lessons.
Now in Maine, I am honored to be in the MSO, which I joined in 2021. I am always excited by the programs we play! I feel blessed to be part of such an amazing orchestra. My life has been enriched by participating in the MSO -- not just by playing, but also by being with my fellow musicians. This is a warm and dedicated group.
I have a husband, two married children, and five grandchildren. I am happy to say they have all been involved with music. My husband doesn't play music, but has been my biggest supporter!
