Violin

I first picked up the violin when I was in fourth grade. I attribute my wanting to play an instrument to my father, who was an accomplished bass fiddle player who also played the piano. I am pretty sure that I chose the violin, at least in part, because it was so much easier to carry than the instruments Dad played!

My early musical career consisted of playing in school orchestras. After graduating from college, I stopped playing until 1995 when I discovered what was then the newly forming Midcoast Chamber Orchestra. I joined the orchestra and have not separated from it since! I am so proud of the history of what is now the MSO, and so glad to be part of it and all it offers.
