Kate Gray
Violin
I started playing the violin when I was five, driven by some now-forgotten ambition. Never much of a practicer, except when reminded by my mother, I always liked playing music in groups. My mother no longer reminds me to practice, but we both play in MSO (she's Louise Huntington, on viola), so I know that if she's practicing, I should be, too.
I have a B.A. in music from Yale University and a B.M. in Music Education from the University of Southern Maine. I taught school music for 10 years in Waterville and Skowhegan and have been teaching private lessons and small groups for 20 years.
