Lisa Walker
Cello
I started playing cello at age eight in a robust public school string program in New Jersey. It was my father who steered me toward the cello, and I will be forever grateful to him! I’ve played in community orchestras and chamber groups in New Jersey and Santa Fe, New Mexico, and have been playing with the Midcoast Symphony since shortly after moving to Maine in 2000. Rehearsing and performing with this wonderful, talented, enthusiastic group of musicians, and sharing performances with our audience members has become an essential part of my life.
When not playing the cello I teach high school math, tend my ever-expanding garden, and spend time with my husband and Labrador retriever.
